Méraud Bonaire

Our classic, reimagined, Swiss made.

Influenced by dive watches from the 1960s,
considered by many watch aficionados to be
the golden era of tool watches.

BUILT TO LAST, YOUR PERFECT DAILY COMPANION

Waterproof up
to 200m.

With its capability to dive up to 200m, the Bonaire is more than just a watch; it's a reliable tool for any lifestyle. Waterproof, resilient crystal against scratches, and built to withstand shocks, it excels in both function and style, making it the ideal choice for everyday wear.

REFINED AND AESTHETICALLY PLEASING

The dial.

The Bonaire’s "Onyx Black" is a high polished dial variant with "gilt" printing that includes the patina-like "old radium" Swiss Super-LumiNova® luminescence, emphasizing classic retro aesthetics.

Meanwhile, the Bonaire’s "Marine Blue" dial option has a sunburst finish and the "Moss Green" has a high gloss subtle green finish and indexes of both variants are filled with BGW9 Super-LumiNova® luminescence.

The dial is fitted with applied and polished hour markers.

For this model we've chosen for polished flat baton hands that offers great legibility.

Each dial is protected by a top hat sapphire crystal that is reminiscent of vintage dive watches.

OPTIMAL LEGIBILITY

Swiss SuperLumiNova®

The Bonaire is enhanced with the finest Swiss SuperLuminova, including Old Radium and BGW9, acclaimed for superior brightness and enduring quality. This premium luminosity ensures crystal-clear visibility in all lighting conditions, seamlessly uniting top-notch functionality with the Bonaire's sophisticated design ethos.

ELEGANTLY SHAPED

The perfect blend between old and new.

The Bonaire’s unidirectional diver’s bezel design was inspired by the Bakelite bezels from the 1950s and 1960s and is finished with an old-school acrylic insert. We specifically wanted to use acrylic as it gives more warmth to the appearance and by using this material we were able to engrave the bezel insert from the bottom to fill it with Super-LumiNova. The bezel is perfect to complement the active lifestyles of our time.

Staying true to the watches of that era, the elegant 316L stainless steel cases measure a perfect 40mm and a height of only 12,2mm.

In addition, the cases are finished with striking contrasts thanks to a mix of linear, circular, and high-polished brushed finishes.

SOMETHING TO CHERISH

Mechanical Swiss movement.

The Méraud Bonaire is powered by a no-date Caliber LJP G101, a Swiss automatic mechanical movement produced in La Chaux-de-Fonds, the heart of the Swiss watchmaking industry.

The caliber G101 operates at 28,800 beats per hour and offers a 68-hour power reserve. The movement and tungsten rotor are finished with “Côte de Geneve” and Méraud signature.

Further distinguishing this caliber, the G101 features an 'Soignée' finish upon our request, characterized by a high level of craftsmanship and attention to detail.

Additionally, the G101's design removes the calendar complication found in the G100, resulting in a cleaner, more streamlined 3-hand watch design, enhancing both aesthetic appeal and functional simplicity. Therefore the caliber has only 2 crown positions, one for winding and one position to set the time.

MANUFACTURE LA JOUX PERRET

G101 Caliber

Powered by the precise Swiss G101 caliber from La Joux-Perret, the Bonaire offers exceptional accuracy and a robust 68-hour power reserve.

Designed with a collector's mind

Details matter.

Watch enthusiasts will appreciate the practical lug holes on the Méraud Bonaire watch case, simplifying strap changes.

Available with either our specially designed tropic straps or a steel riveted bracelet, the Bonaire offers versatility in style.

Our steel bracelets have proudly featured rivets since 2018, showcasing our commitment to traditional craftsmanship and durability. This use of true rivets is a distinct characteristic that sets our watches apart, underscoring how crucial these finer details are to the overall design.

In 2023, we've further enhanced the bracelet by introducing a redesigned clasp equipped with a quick-adjustment feature, merging classic aesthetics with modern convenience.

DIVING HERITAGE

Inspired by the golden era of dive watches.

The Méraud Bonaire is a modern homage to the 1960s, a period revered as the golden age of dive watches. This era's distinct style, characterized by durability and elegance, is captured in the Bonaire's design. We've carefully preserved the classic aesthetics that made these watches iconic while infusing them with contemporary features for today's wearer.

Crafted for enthusiasts who appreciate a nod to the past, the Bonaire seamlessly merges historical charm with modern-day functionality. Its design speaks to the legacy of the tool watch, embodying the spirit of exploration and adventure that defined the 1960s. The result is a timepiece that's not just a functional tool for divers but also a stylish accessory for everyday wear.
